Breaking news: Portland cops do something

This morning, Portland's largely worthless police bureau proudly announced that it had arrested more than a dozen people for street racing and "sliding" last night. They didn't say where and they didn't say whom, but they did post three photos on Twitter. Apparently, diversion will be offered to the accused.

Does that put an end to the street takeovers? Unlikely. Will there be accusations of racism and police wrongdoing? Probably. This is Portland.

The officers involved will probably get a week off to rest now. The stress of it all. The city's many other problems will have to wait.
