Not so fast

This story about the latest Covid outbreak in the California State Capitol is not encouraging. Nine new cases, of which four were breakthrough cases. Even vaxxed people will have to wear masks in the building again.

I'm not throwing my masks away. Nor am I letting my Zoom subscription lapse just yet. Booster shot to go with the flu shot this fall? Fine by me. And I'll try to enjoy every minute of the relative freedom we're having at the moment. It shouldn't be taken for granted.

I suspect we may hate the word "variant" before too long.
