Last call might be your last

When the "clubs" close on weekend nights in downtown Portland, the shooting starts. It's become a regular thing. Last night, an 18-year-old woman was shot dead and at least six other people went to the hospital with gunshot wounds. You'd have to be crazy to go downtown at night any more.

And the cops can't decide which shooting to go to at that hour. Last night they had three or four going at once in various parts of town.

The 24 park rangers that we funded when we cut the police budget didn't help.

Thank God we have an eight-figure master plan for the Park Blocks.
