A cheesy move

The no. 2 cop in Portland, Chris Davis, has been interviewing around the country for police chief jobs for a while now. Today comes news that he got one, and he is taking it: Green Bay, Wisconsin. He'll be gone in less than a month.

The population there is 105,000, about the size of Beaverton. The beer consumption is the equivalent of a medium-sized European country. The average daytime high temperature in January is 25 degrees.

Anyway, Davis's departure is just what the Portland police don't need right now. But can you blame the guy for bailing on our crapshow?
