If you're fully vaccinated, you don't need to wear a mask to protect others. So says the government.

But what's to stop someone who hasn't been vaccinated from lying and saying they have been? There's no real way to check, at least not at the moment. Paper inoculation cards can be forged quite easily.

And since a lot of the anti-vaxers are also anti-maskers, I'm still more than a little nervous about sitting down in a theater or restaurant. Especally if I weren't vaccinated myself. But even with the shots, which aren't 100 percent effective, I don't trust strangers.

People lie. It's a thing.

I'm still going to proceed with caution for a while.
