You can't rush spring
They interviewed Portland's Chief Chuck yesterday, back from his nice vacation. Chuck sure is a mellow guy. Especially when it comes to timelines.
Gun violence team (ordered by City Council April 7)? Maybe in the summer. Right now we're setting up a committee.
Misconduct by former police union chief Brian Hunzeker (March 3)? The "investigation" continues.
Police killing of mentally ill man in Lents Park (April 16)? The "investigation" continues.
One thing the chief will never be accused of is hastiness.
