The virus is getting tougher

Given how many people are now getting vaccinated, it's amazing that Covid infections are rising so steeply in Oregon. But they are. The new variant must be particularly contagious, and particularly damaging. That, and of course, people have let their guards down considerably. To have all the kids running around unvaccinated in grade schools is ridiculous.

Here are some graphs that go back nearly a year, to last May 1. The surge we're seeing now is now significantly worse than last summer's. Let's hope we don't return to where we were over the holidays.

Please go back to acting the way you did a year ago at this time. Because as you can see, we're in worse shape than that now.
