On the short side of nothing


Politicians in Oregon are washouts, by and large. To take just one example: The Democrats control everything in Salem, and what do they give us on gun control?

Basically, nothing.

This happens year after year. 

Ginny Burdick. Peter Courtney. Tina Kotek. Kate Brown. Lew Frederick. Michael Dembrow. They're worthless. Worse than that, even. Yet they get re-elected, over and over, without fail.

      If politicians in general and Democrats in particular (at least in Oregon) only care about their own self-interest this does not bode well for the idea of democracy.

      If everyone elected is no good, selfish, feckless, etc., then maybe it's democracy itself that needs to go. What do you suggest, Jack?
