Today's the day when everybody except the kids becomes eligible to get Covid shots in Oregon. No doubt the computer systems booking appointments in the Portland area will be in tatters five minutes after the lines open up.

But you just have to keep trying. Think about it: If you get inoculated and later you inhale the coronavirus, it won't send you to the hospital or the morgue. You'll be in the clear, or as close to it as is going to be humanly possible for a long time. Go for it!
