It's a long overdue move, but the police in Vancouver, Washington are geting body camera and car cameras over the next year or so. Sure, they'll figure out ways to misuse them, but there will also be times when the cams will actually force the cops to behave. That's well worth it.

If only the cops up there had had their cameras rolling when they shot Kevin Peterson Jr. to death. You would have seen some things that are now subject to the vague recollections and calculated language of the men who killed him.
