Honor among weasels

Here's a story about some shady doings out in Arlington, Oregon. It seems some sketchy fracking outfit dumped radioactive waste there, totally illegally. The landfill operators say they didn't know it was hot. A few wrists got slapped.

Now the state says the best thing to do is to leave the waste where it is. Uh huh.

I'd feel a lot better if the state agency in charge wasn't also sketchy as hell. The Oregon "Department of Energy" is more like the "Department of Bad Karma." Some of those birds are worse than radioactive. 

Thank God for the whistleblowers.
