And now with the weather, here’s Godot

Just as we feared yesterday, the thaw never came, it’s still 31 degrees outside, and it rained most of the night. Power here at Blog Central went out about three and a half hours ago. There’s ice all over everything.

The weather guessers say it will thaw in the next two hours. That’s what they said all day yesterday.

The weather inside the house at this hour is mostly dark and 63 degrees.

  1. You’ve got plenty of company. The St. Johns bridge is missing even its red warning lights on the spires. We’ve relocated fridge and freezer to various coolers buried in snow and ice anticipating at least a few days before PGE catches up.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
