What, us worry?

The effort to vaccinate 4.3 million Oregonians against Covid doesn't work much on weekends, and hardly at all on holidays.

Number of doses administered in three weeks: 51,275.

Number of doses sitting on shelves: 139,225.

The governor says if we're lucky, we'll get up to administering 12,000 shots a day by two weeks from now. And our 27-person committee will let us know who goes next.

If everybody needs two shots, and you give out 12,000 shots a day, it still takes two years to cover 4.3 million people.

We need somebody else in charge of this. Like yesterday.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
