Gone where the goblins go

I didn't think this moment would feel like such a big deal, but it does. We as a nation are about to get a release from one of the biggest pains we have ever felt. I thought I'd just shrug, but already I can feel tears coming.

I should be thinkinng of profound things, but all I can hear in my mind is "Ding Dong the Witch Is Dead." Music by Harold Arlen. Lyrics by Yip Harburg.

In the movie, it's just the beginning of the adventure. We have no idea of all the crazy things that are about to happen.

There's a lot of tension and pain before it all gets resolved. There are ugly battles. There is fraud. There is cruelty. But in the end, somehow the truth comes out, for everyone.

Then it all goes back to black and white, and we wonder what the heck just happened.

That's fine with me. I'm with Harold and Yip today.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
