What will become of Lloyd Center?

Today's news that Macy's is pulling out of the Lloyd Center in Portland sure sounds like the death knell for that mall. I wonder what will become of the real estate. I assume the shopping center will eventually be razed, but what will take its place?

Oh well, it's an academic question for the foreseeable future. At the moment, Portland proper has no economy to speak of. Apartments are overbuilt, bricks-and-mortar retail is in the tank, downtown is sketchy, homeless camps are everywhere. A sports stadium, maybe? The soccer crowd has already put all its chips on Civic Stadium, and baseball isn't coming to Portland.

Thus, for now, methinks we are looking at a ghost mall.
