Turn him off

It's been nearly five years now of Trump on every "news" program, day and night. Trump this, Trump that, Trump Trump Trump.

I got so sick of it that a year or so ago, I swore it off. I rarely watch any video of him speaking, and I listen to other people discussing his sorry act only in the briefest of stretches.

Two months and five days from now, nothing he says or does will matter. But will the "news" people let it go? You know the answer to that. Of course they won't. He's great for ratings, subscribers, clicks, etc.

It's going to take a concerted effort by the public to break this miserable wretch's grip on our psyches. At some point, we're going to have to have a rule that upon any mention of Trump, we change the channel, turn the page, leave the site, etc. For me, that day is pretty much here. If you must, you can wait until Inauguration Day to turn him off.

But turn him off you must. Because the media isn't going to ignore him until he's bad for their bottom line, or dead. And every day he's the story is another dying day for this country.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
