It's too bad the East Coast was asleep when the latest ballot count from Georgia put Biden into the lead. Joe is now about 900 votes ahead there, and the trend has been in his favor for a day now.
I've been watching Pennsylvania intently, and the same thing is about to happen there. The official state website shows Orange Caligula ahead by only 22,473. A far cry from 48 hours ago, when Biden was looking at nearly a 700,000-vote deficit there and I was checking my passport.
It's highly likely that Biden will win Pennsylvania, and he has a good chance of pulling out a narrower victory in Georgia.
There will be recounts, but how many different recounts can Donnie win? If he's stuck at around 230 electoral votes, it would take more than one, or even two.
By this time tomorrow, the spotlight will shift to the lawsuits. Dear Leader has been big with the lawsuits his entire adult life. We will see what he gets away with this time.
Notice the number of Republican leaders urging him to accept the results. That number is zero. Remember this, and join me in never voting for a Republican, for anything, ever again.
Your conclusion is to vote strictly along party lines? It's one thing when your favorite football team signs a player you don't like and you have to support them, but this is ridiculous. Actually that happened to me as an Eagles fan who found himself rooting for Terrill Owens. All you have to know about assigning positive characteristics to someone based on party affiliation is that for years Donald Trump was a Democrat. If he ran as a Democrat you'd support him?
ReplyDeleteThe other thing I hope we notice this time around is that these new vote by mail states could have done it like Oregon where the ballot has to arrive by Election Day. Why didn't they do that? Could it be that they wanted a way to game the system after Election Day? Let's say an opponent is doing surprisingly well and you have to win your state or else your side will lose. Couldn't you just keep counting until you've added enough votes to the system to make it work in your favor? I'm not saying this group would ever do that. Heavens no. For one thing voter turnout would start approaching 100%. I believe it was 90 % in some states with wards showing more votes than registered voters but that could have been a bunch of people catching Joe Biden fever.
Look, I'm not complaining about it. This the politics. This thing was stolen fair and square and Trump should get over it. I won;t miss the guy - that is for sure. How should I put this?
I've done a few contract negotiations myself, Jack, and we'd always get to a point where my side would want something in writing and they''d say, "Why? Don't you trust us?" I'd always say, "Of course we trust you. Are you kidding? We have the utmost faith in your integrity. But what if you move on to better jobs and the next batch of executives are a bunch of unscrupulous motherfuckers?"
So let me put it like that. This election was pristine. It was a glorious nod to democracy. But I think we should fix Vote by Mail in case the next bunch of party officials happen to be a bunch of unscrupulous motherfuckers. Not that it would ever happen.

ReplyDeleteSure, unless the votes that were 'added to the system,' (by which I suppose you mean valid votes by registered voters that arrived after election day and were counted according to rules instituted during a pandemic, amid sabotage of the USPS, and that were upheld in court) result in more votes for the other candidate. Unless you claiming that beyond counting votes, there are votes being somehow manufactured for Biden outside of that? A great crime and scandal, if true, and solid ground for a legal challenge, if evidence of that were found and brought to court.

Vice President Joe Biden carried the five in 2020 with 3,768 votes to President Donald Trump’s 2,883— a margin of 885, or eight times what it was in 2016, when Trump earned 1,904 votes to Hillary Clinton’s 2,012.
The City of Milwaukee reported record turnout of 84 percent Tuesday; 243,144 of 288,833 registered city voters cast a ballot.
Biden defeated Trump in Milwaukee 195,034 to 48,110, a margin of 145,916. He won 80 percent of the city’s total vote.
Of the city’s 327 voting wards, 90 reported turnout of greater than 90 percent; 201 reported turnout higher than 80 percent.
By the way, that margin of victory by Biden in Milwaukee was 145,916. Trump lost the state by just over 20,000 votes. The known shenanigans in Milwaukee certainly suggest a real possibility that it was rigged. What happened to the voters who cast more ballots than the number of registered voters? Did Jeffrey Dahmer eat them?

There may well be shenanigans in more places than one that threw the outcome of this presidential election. I just haven't seen credible evidence of any.
