On the bandwagon
The folks pushing for the new Portland school bond, and the property taxes that go with it, have sent out this pitch:
Why not? It's being used to sell other stuff, why not the school bond? In this case, there actually is a connection between what's being sold and Black lives.
We voted yes, if a bit reluctantly.
The mailman took our ballots yesterday, and so the flow of election porn to our place should be ending soon. But it's been a heck of an election season in that department.
