Barking up the wrong tree

In yesterday's delivery of election porn was another pitch for the new library bond:

They've got to be kidding. "There when we need them"? I recently walked down to my local library branch and found it permanently closed, the space completely empty.

The library bureaucracy already gets plenty of money from property taxes, and they don't need more – especially not right now, when they're not providing much by way of service. Their money grab will probably pass, but I'm voting a big fat no.
