Truth with a side of Doritos
My lunchtime cable viewing yesterday featured an interview by a TV network talking head of Tom Friedman of the New York Times. Friedman has always been a liberal, but pretty much a centrist version. So what he said made me pause in my demolition of a salmon salad sandwich.
I'm paraphrasing, but he said that the current version of the Republican Party needs to be completely destroyed, from top to bottom, in the elections in November. And that a new party, based on actual conservative values, needs to be built out of the ashes.
I thought, I couldn't agree more.
