Police reform bills gutted in Salem

One thing has become clear to me in my 42 years of living here: You should never count on Oregon state government for guts, or for justice. And so it goes with the police reform legislation knocking around in the current "special" session of the legislature. It's been watered down to nothing.

Surprised? You shouldn't be. This is the typical work product of tired, tired, old people like Peter Courtney and Ginny Burdick. Their time is so long past, but still they're in charge. It's Hack Central down there.

Whatever. The kids are back out on the streets tonight. And summer has just begun.
